About Us
Here at Walla Walla Lutheran Parish we’re one big family. We’re family because we’ve all been adopted by our heavenly Father in our baptism. Our baptism gives us a common identity.
As a family, we gather, grow and give. We’re also part of a larger church family, the Lutheran Church of Australia.

History
Walla Walla Lutheran Parish has a long history in the Riverina. A small group of German farmers left from Ebenezer, Light Pass (in the Barossa Valley of South Australia), by wagon, arriving in 1868. After a long and arduous journey through largely unmapped and roadless terrain, they arrived and settled the area around Walla Walla and Alma Park. These faithful forebears established churches and schools. Through generation to generation they passed on the good news that Jesus Christ died, was buried, and rose again for the forgiveness of sin, so that we might be adopted by our heavenly Father.
