As life-long disciples and followers of Jesus, we’re always learning and growing in our faith.
Grow
We grow in faith as the good news of Christ transforms us and we trust God more and more (the word “faith” just means “trust”). Our parish provides a number of opportunities to grow:
Worship Services
We grow as we gather each week at our worship services. View our sermon archive here or visit our YouTube channel here.
Prayer
We grow as we pray together. You’re invited to join us as we pray for each other, our community and the world. We meet on the fourth Thursday of every month at Walla Lutheran church hall from 8.00pm.
Ladies Coffee & Chat
All women are invited to gather on the third Tuesday of every month at Walla church hall for coffee and chat. Coffee at 10am, followed by devotion and Bible study, then other business.
Youth Group (Currently suspended due to COVID-19)
Upper primary and high school students meet every fortnight on Friday night during school term for a variety of wholesome activities. For more information follow us on Facebook, or contact the parish office.
Young Adults Group
Post high school young adults are invited to meet every Friday fortnight. An informal Bible discussion, followed by a time of fellowship.
Men’s Shed Breakfast
A bunch of blokes meeting for breakfast, sharing life together. Every fourth Saturday of the month. Contact the parish office to sign up for our mailing list.
Regular Bible Studies
We grow as we study God’s word together. We provide a number of options:
- Growing Faith at Home — each Sunday we provide a helpful sheet with faith discussion starters, daily Bible readings, prayers, and other ideas to help you grow in faith as a household.
- YouTube channel — we provide various videos to help you grow in faith at your own pace, in flexible ways.
- Know Your Bible (KYB) Women's Group — monthly, 2nd Thursday of each month, contact the parish office. Click here for more information on Know Your Bible (KYB).
Short-term Bible Studies
We offer a range of short-term topical Bible studies. Please view our events calendar for our short-term Bible studies coming up.
Online resources
You can also grow at your own pace, at a time of your choosing, using online resources. On our parish Facebook and Instagram channels, we often share Bible verses and various ideas for growing in faith, hope, and love (subscribe using the buttons below!). Other helpful online resources are also listed below.
